Dash22 The Life Aquatic

This piece is inspired by the soundtrack to a film from one of my favourite directors, Wes Anderson. I plan to do a series in the future. It was not one of my favourites but it has really grown on me. Especially as it was the poster for my Exhibiton the Visual Subconcious at Jennifer Ford Art last year.

I see in this shadow figure blocking the roadway, effectively himself at his worst halting all advacement. This piece steamed from a drawing on a scrap of paper I created durring a live music festival. It was a experimental music festival I an upstairs room of a design studio and I drew for a solid 8 hours in a little lined pad. I was interviewed by local Luton news but it was never aired.

Hidden Piano’s Part 2: Live Art and Music Performance at Sweetwater

See Also Hidden Part 1

On Saturday the 26th of February I again had the incredible experience of drawing my live Abstract Art durring a concert from the brilliant autistic pianist Matt Savage at the Abilities Abound 2016 awards seremony.

I pulled out a new sheet of paper and let the Music take me where it would as Matt played the Keys and talked time signatures. Here is the result, I call it ‘Hidden Piano’s’ and was able to sell it the same evening.

On Saturday the 26th of February I again had the incredible experience of drawing my live Abstract Art durring a concert from the brilliant autistic pianist Matt Savage at the Abilities Abound 2016 awards seremony.

I had the chance to draw with some great new guys on the spectrum of a range of ages and some other good friends before the concert began.

The Wolf and The Raven a Teaser Trailer Project

The Wolf and the Raven

(March 2016 Performance Teaser).

My film endeavors are mostly linked to my musical and performance art. Some are created under the name, R.Dakota. The first of which was a trailer in a surrealist film style. For this particular short I captured footage of two incredibablly talented dancers in the dark, and layered it with footage of me performing. This process is not disimilar to my digital illustration work in photoshop.

The idea was to be mysterious in order to draw people to come to the performance which was held at Jennifer Ford Art, Fort Wayne. I performed a set of my own creation with the amazing improvised violin play of Felix Moxtar.

I have much of the film footage for building material to create a proper short film in the future.
